Calling All Volunteers: Join Us for the San Jacinto Fall Fandango!

Are you ready to bring history to life? Join us on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the San Jacinto Monument in La Porte, Texas, for the San Jacinto Fall Fandango!


We need enthusiastic volunteers to help make this vibrant celebration of the 1830s a success. Enjoy a day filled with living history activities, family-friendly saloon games, historical cooking demonstrations, talented artisans and reenactors, market vendors, and delicious food trucks. The event is FREE to attend, with food and merchandise available for purchase.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Event Setup (Friday and Saturday)

Assist with various setup tasks, including setting up signage, tents, and stations, and helping vendors with their setup. Your efforts will ensure a smooth and organized event experience for all.

Museum Guides (11 AM to 3 PM)

Provide crowd control and assistance inside the museum. Guide guests to check-in, the elevator to the observation deck, theater screenings, museum exhibits, and restrooms. Your role is crucial in enhancing the visitor experience.


Info Booth (11 AM to 3 PM)

Assist guests by providing directions, answering questions about activities, and offering general information. Your helpfulness will ensure guests have a pleasant and informed experience.

 

Runners (11 AM to 3 PM)

Serve as fill-ins to allow reenactors or staff to take breaks. Your flexibility and readiness to step in where needed will be invaluable in keeping the event running smoothly.
