BROWN, ROBERT - Came to Texas in 1833, as is shown in Headright Certificate No. 217 issued to him February 5, 1838 for one third of a league of land by the Harrisburg County Board. The land was surveyed in the Bexar Land District in what is now Kerr County. He was issued Donation Certificate No. 926 for 640 acres of land, July 25, 1839 for having been detailed to guard the baggage. The land was surveyed in Erath County in 1847.

In Service Record No. 4348 it is stated that he served in the army from March 5 to June 5, 1836. When discharged he was a member of Captain Peter B. Dexter’s Company. He was issued Bounty Certificate No. 9244 for 320 acres of land, July 25, 1839 for having served in the army from March 5 to June 5, 1836.
