BOLLINGER, PETER -- Son of John Bollinger and brother of Ephriam Bollinger. He arrived in Texas June 3, 1835 with his father's family and settled in what is now Jefferson County. He enlisted in Captain Benjamin J. Harper's Company at Beaumont. This company was combined with Captain William M. Logan's Company at its organization at Liberty March 6, 1836. He received Bounty Certificate No. 153 for 320 acres of land for serving in the army from March 6 to June 6, 1836. On July 5, 1838 he was issued Donation Certificate No. 405 for 640 acres of land for having participated in the battle of San Jacinto. This he sold July 24, 1848 while living in Austin County.

In the Probate Records of Austin County it is shown that Bollinger and his wife, Narcissa Bollinger, died in Austin County in July, 1855.
The date of Mr. Bollinger's arrival in Texas is shown in the Headright Certificate issued to him February 2, 1838, by the Board of Land Commissioners of Jefferson County for one-third of a league of land.
