RHEINHART, ASA -- In Headright Certificate No. 212 issued to him March 1, 1838 for one-third of a league of land by the Liberty County Board it is stated that Mr. Rheinhart arrived in Texas in February, 1836. He was issued Bounty Certificate No. 2396 for 1280 acres of land, February 20, 1838 for serving in the army from January 12, 1836 to October 17, 1837. He was a member of Captain Henry Teal's Company at San Jacinto but did not apply for the 640 acres of land due him for having participated in the battle. In Service Record No. 1919, it is certified that when discharged he was a sergeant in the commissary.

Mr. Rheinhart sold his Headright and Bounty Certificates April 9, 1838 to Robert Walker for a total of $550.00. He probably left Texas shortly afterward.
