PRATT, THOMAS A.S.--In the Headright Certificate issued to him February 5, 1838 for one-third of a league of land by the Board of Land Commissioners for Bell County it is stated that Mr. Thomas A.S. Pratt came to Texas in 1833. He was a member of Captin William S. Fisher's Company of VELASCO BLUES and on May 28, 1838 he was issued Donation Certificate No. 240 for 640 acres of land for having participated in the battle. He also received Bounty Certificate No. 103 for 320 acres of land for his services from March 5 to June 5, 1836.

T. M. Pratt of Bell County made affidavit May 6, 1895 that Thomas A.S. Pratt and Jesse Pratt, neither of whom were married, died in 1847, leaving as heirs the following children of Archie Pratt: Eliza Pratt, Martha King, Susan Jennings, Mary Ann Middlebrook, Sarah Ann Harris, T.M. Pratt, Hamilton Pratt, Henry L. Pratt, Cassie Starner, and Jane Hale.
