LODERBACK, JOHN D. -- Enrolled in Captain Sidney Sherman's Company in Kentucky, December 18, 1835 and arrived in Texas in January, 1836. He is shown on a muster roll at the General Land Office, Austin as having taken the oath of Allegiance to Texas at Nacogdoches, January 14, 1836, along with the other members of Captain Sherman's Company. Sherman's Company was commanded by at San Jacinto by Captain William Wood. Mr. Loderback's name appears as a member of Captain Hood's Company on the San Jacinto rolls printed in 1836. If however, he applied for land due him as a Headright or for services in the army, such is not recorded in the files of the Land Office.
