LEGG, SENECA -- It has not been ascertained when Mr. Legg came to Texas. Apparently he did not apply for his Headright Land or for any land due him for his services in the army. In Service Record No. 4443 it is certified that he served from April 9, 1836 to October 24, 1837. He was on extra duty on detached service from September 20, 1836 to May 1, 1837. He was a member of Captain Amasa Turner's Company but served in Captain Isaac N. Moreland's Company of Artillery at San Jacinto.
