HOOD, ROBERT -- Listed on page 13, of the San Jacinto rolls printed in 1836 and on page 33 of the San Jacinto rolls in the General Land Office as Robt. Hood, a member of Captain Jesse Billingsley's Company of Mina (Bastrop) Volunteers. On page 65 of the Land Office rolls Robt. Hood is shown as having been enlisted by Major L. Smith April 5, 1836 for a period of three months. On page 40 of the rolls Robert Hood is shown as a member of Captain Alfred H. Wyly's Company. The compiler is convinced that all of the Robert Hoods mentioned refer to but one man who was transferred from Captain Billingsley's Company to the small company commanded by Captain Wyly.

Mr. Hood evidently left Texas at the Expiration of his enlistment term. He did not apply for headright or Donation Certificates. Bounty Certificate No. 2865 for 320 acres of land was issued in his name April 9, 1838, for his services from March 6 to June 6, 1836, but the certificate had been assigned to S. Rhoades Fisher.
