HERRERA, PEDRO -- Born in Texas, as is stated in the Headright Certificate issued to him February 21, 1838, by the Bexar County Board of Land Commissioners for a league and labor of land. He was a member of Captain Juan N. Seguin's Company at San Jacinto and on January 5, 1852, was issued Donation Certificate No. 404 for 640 acres of land for having participated in the battle. On April 21, 1852, he received Bounty Certificate No. 1094 for 320 acres of land for having served in the army from February 22, to July 12, 1836. On an army roll in the General Lad Office he is shown as having enlisted November 5, 1836 in Lieutenant Manuel Flores' Company of which he was Fourth Sergeant. He was issued Bounty Certificate No. 2757 for 1280 acres of land April 4, 1838 for having served in the army from November 5, 1836 to February 20, 1838. The certificate had been assigned.
