HARMON, CLARK M. -- When enlisted in the Auxiliary corps at Nacogdoches, January 14, 1836, Mr. Harmon stated that he was born in Tennessee in 1817. He came to Texas in January 1836. He was a member of Captain Isaac N. Moreland's company at San Jacinto and on December 7, 1854 Donation Certificate No. 643 for 640 acres of land was issued to him for having participated in the battle. The land was surveyed in Montague County in 1861. Mr. Harmon was living in Burleson County in 1858 and in Travis County, April 13, 1879.

On page 233 of the army rolls in the General Land Office Mr. Harmon is shown as a member of Captain William H. Patton's Company when it was disbanded.
Mr. Harmon apparently did not apply for headright or Bounty Certificates. He was a member of the Texas Veterans Association and was living in Decatur, Tennessee in 1874.
