FOARD, CHARLES A. -- In Comptroller's Military Service Record No. 1321 it is certified that Mr. Foard served in Captain Henry Teal's Company of Regulars as Duty Sergeant from March 9 to April 29, 1836; was commissioned Second Lieutenant of Captain Nicholas Lynch's Company June 1, and served as such until August 19, 1836, when he was discharged. He was Fourth Sergeant in Captain Teal's Company at San Jacinto.

Mr. Foard probably left Texas shortly after being discharged from the army. He did not apply for a headright or for the bounty and donation land due him.
