DUBROMER, DR. TOBIAS -- Name omitted from the official San Jacinto rolls printed in 1836. Adjutant General John A. Wharton and Captain Alfred H. Wyly both certified May 16, 1836 that Dr. Dubromer participated in the battle of San Jacinto.

Dr. Dubromer arrived in Texas sometime between May 2, 1835 and March 2, 1836. In the Headright Certificate issued to him August 1, 1388 by the Board of Land Commissioners of Austin County for one-third of a league of land it is stated that he came to Texas before March 2, 1836. Had he arrived before May 2, 1835 it would have been so stated in the certificate.
Dr. Dubromer was a member of Captain Alfred H. Wyly's Company at San Jacinto and on July 10, 1838 he received Donation Certificate No. 440 for 640 acres of land for having participated in the battle. At the same time he received Bounty Certificate No. 4028 for 320 acres of land for having served in the army from March 2 to July 23 1836. The land was surveyed in Robertson County. In Comptroller's Military Service Record No. 793 it is certified that Dr. Dubromer was enlisted by Major Leander Smith, April 2, 1836, participated in the battle of San Jacinto as a member of Captain Alfred H. Wyly's Company and discharged at the camp near Victoria, July 23, 1836.
In the Probate Records of Robertson County it is shown that Dr. Dubromer died in that county in 1858. His children, Margaret, Barbara, Jacob, Kechel and Charles Dubromer were living in Travis County in 1859.
