DEADRICK, GEORGE M. -- Born in Tennessee and came to Texas in January, 1836. See the sketch of his brother, Fielding Deadrick.

Mr. Deadrick served in the Army of Texas from December 24, 1835 to June 17, 1836. For this service his widow received Bounty Certificate No. 351 for 640 acres of land, February 13, 1860. At the same time she received Donation Certificate No. 137 for 640 acres of land due Mr. Deadrick for having participated in the battle of San Jacinto. She likewise received on the same date Mr. Deadrick's Headright Certificate for two thirds of a league and one labor of land, Dr. Deadrick having previously received one third of a league.
Mr. Deadrick was a member of Captain Henry W. Karnes Company at San Jacinto. The application that Mr. Fielding Deadrick made for the land due George M. Deadrick is in the Court of Claims files in the General Land Office, Austin.
Mr. Deadrick died at his home in Nashville, Tennessee, May 2, 1846, survived by his widow and a child, Georgiana, Deadrick.
