CURBIERE, ANTONIO -- Born in Texas, as is shown in the Headright Certificate issued in his name by the Bexar County Board, February 2, 1838 for a league and labor of land. The certificate had been assigned to John McMullen. He was a member of Captain Juan N. Seguin's Company in 1835 and on July 5, 1838 was issued Donation Certificate No. 416 for 64o acres of land for having participated in the Storming and Capture of Bexar, December 5 to 10, 1835. He was issued Bounty Certificate No. 10029 for 320 acres of land for having served in the army from November 14 to December 15, 1835. He was a member of Captain Seguin's Company at San Jacinto. On a roll at the General Land Office he is shown as having enlisted in Lieutenant Manuel Flores Company November 5, 1836. On July 7, 1838, he was issued Bounty Certificate No. 4019 for 1280 acres of land for having served from November 5, 1836 to February 28, 1838.

The Probate Records of Bexar County show that Mr. Curbiere died in that County in 1841. John Morris was appointed administrator of his estate, June 21, 1841. On June 29, 1841 Donation Certificate No. 416 and Bounty Certificate No. 4019 for a total of 1920 acres of land were sold at public auction and were purchased by John James for $150.00.
