WALKER, JOSIAH - Was issued a headright certificate for one-third of a league of land February 15, 1858 by the Commissioner of Claims. In the certificate it is not stated when Mr. Walker came to Texas.

Mr. Walker’s name appears on page 137 of the army rolls in the General as one of the men of Captain Joseph B. Chance’s Washington Company who was detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg, April 21, 1836.
Mr. Walker did not receive bounty or donation land.
