RHODES, JOHN B. - Listed on page 41 of the army rolls in the General Land Office as one of the members of Captain Gibson Kuykendall’s company who was detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg, April 21, 1836.

In compliance with an Act of the Legislature, approved February 13, 1860, Mr. Rhodes was issued a bounty certificate for 640 acres of land. He was living in Graves County, Kentucky, October 4, 1860 when he sold the certificate to John Burlage for $300.00.
