RAPER, DANIEL - Came to Texas in February, 1830, as is stated in Headright Certificate No. 74 issued to him for one-third of a league by the Board of Land Commissioners for Montgomery county in 1838. He was issued Donation Certificate No. 847 for 640 acres of land April 3, 1839 for having been detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg April 21, 1836. The land was surveyed in Montgomery County.

The Probate Records of Montgomery County show Mr. Raper died in 1853. Jacob Harmon was appointed administrator of his estate March 12, 1853.
