MOORE, MORRIS - Was issued Bounty Certificate No. 1985 for 320 acres of land January 21, 1838 for having served in the army from March 10 to May 8, 1836. On September 28, 1841 he received Donation Certificate No. 1166 for 640 acres of land for having been detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg April 21, 1836.

On page _____ of the army rolls in the General Land Office it is shown that Mr. Moore enlisted in Captain Thomas H. Barron’s company October 31, 1836.
Came to Texas in 1835, as is stated in Headright Certificate No. 374 for 1/12 of a league of land issued to him in 1838 by the Board of Land Commissioners for Washington County.
1/4 League in ________ colony, surveyed in what is now McLennan County
