MOORE, AZARIAH G. - Born in 1811. In the headright certificate issued to him March 29, 1838 by the Board of Land Commissioners for Harrisburg County for one-third of a league of land it is stated that he came to Texas in 1835. He was living in HarrisbCounty, November 14, 1846 when he sold the certificate to Jack De Cordorva for $43.

In Comptroller’s Military Service Record No. 6841 it is certified that Mr. Moore served in Captain Jesse Billingsley’s company from April 15 to June 15, 1836. He was issued Donation Certificate No. 1056 for 640 acres of land August 5, 1840 for having been detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg April 21, 1836.
Mr. Moore was a member of the Texas Veterans Association and he was living in Limestone County in 1883.
