LITTON, ADDISON - Came to Texas in 1827 as is stated in the headright certificate issued in his name for a league and labor of land by the Board of Land Commissioners for Bastrop County. He was a member of Captain Gibson Kuykendall’s company and on February 23, 1848 his heirs received Donation Certificate No. 98 for 640 acres of land, due him for having been detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg, April 21, 1836. On December 6, 1838 Mr. Litton was issued Bounty Certificate No. 5053 for 1280 acres of land for his services in the army. On page_____ of the army rolls Mr. Litton is shown as a member of Captain E. W. Collins’ company of Sabine Volunteers in July, 1836.

Mr. Litton died in Bastrop County in 1847. His widow Mrs. Mary Litton was appointed administratrix of his estate November 29, 1847. His heirs on November 23, 1872 were David Litton, F. M. Litton, Frank Yoast, Mary Litton Wolfenberger, wife of Charles Wolfenberger and W. N. Shother of Bastrop County.
