KERR, WILLIAM P. - Born in Pennsylvania in 1815 and came to Texas in 1831. He was issued a headright certificate for one-third of a league of land January 25, 1838 by the Washington County Board of Land Commissioners. He was issued Bounty Certificate No. 4174 for having served in the army from March 1 to May 30, 1836. He was a member of Captain Gibson Kuykendall’s Company and on August 10, 1838 he was issued Donation Certificate No. 504 for 640 acres of land for having been detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg, April 21, 1836.

Mr. Kerr was married to Susiana E. Hill in Fayette County, September 7, 1843.
Mr. Kerr was living in Karnes City, Karnes County in 1896.
He attended the convention of the Texas Veterans Association held in Galveston, April 20, 21, 1896 and was 82 years old at that time. He died _____________.
