JOHNSON, NATHAN B. - Came to Texas in 1834, as is stated in Headright Certificate No. 64 issued to him in 1838 for one-third of a league of land by the Board of Land Commissioners for Austin County. (Clerk’s Return Book A, General Land Office.)

Mr. Johnson is shown on page _______ of the army rolls in the Land Office as one of the men of Captain Gibson Kuykendall’s company who were detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg, April 21, 1836. Apparently he did not apply for a donation certificate. He was issued Bounty Certificate No. 2884 for 320 acres of land April 13, 1838 for his services in the army from February 1 to May 30, 1836.
JOHNSON, NATHAN B. - A headright certificate for one-third of a league of land was issued in Mr. Johnson’s name September 10, 1841 by the Board of Land Commissioners for Washington County. It was delivered to William Pettus, administrator of Mr. Johnson’s estate. The certificate is missing from the files in the General Land Office.
